Tire Prep-Before a race


What do I do to prepare for my race?  Once my tires are broken in, I don’t really sauce for a long time.  I first clean them up with motor spray and a paper towel then, I sauce usually one or two races before my own race and I’m good to go.  Some racers wipe off the excess tire sauce before they enter the track, some like me, just leave it on and let the sauce where out on my warm up laps.  If you have tire warmers, I usually go between 50-60*C for about five minutes then put my car on the track.
